Parking Info
There is no on-site parking, but there is a
paid public parking garage one block away.
See below for more information on the garage and other parking options.
Parking Garage
Name: Colonial Parking Garage
Address: 2421 18th St NW, Washington, DC 20009 - (Link to Google Map of the parking garage)
The garage charges approximately $22+/overnight and $17/overnight if you park before 8AM.
On the weekends it is $3 more to park overnight. The overnight rates end at 7AM, sharp. Therefore If you park overnight, after 7AM the garage starts charging by the hour again. If you do not want to pay extra, you'll have to move your car before 7AM to avoid paying more than the overnight rate.
These prices are subject to change: check the Colonial Parking website for this garage for the latest prices, here is the link to Colonial Parking.
This garage has a 6’0” height limit which fits most typical cars and SUVs.
SMART UNLOADING TIP: The easiest way to arrive if you are driving and have a lot of luggage and at least two adults, is to pull up near to our property and unload the luggage. One adult can bring the luggage to the apartment while the other stays with the car (to avoid getting a parking ticket). Then together both can go and park the car in the garage and walk back to the property.
ANOTHER TIP: The 30 foot area in front of our building is a pedestrian plaza, but cars can pull up near the corner of our block and unload from there. It is about 30 feet from the corner to our front door. The name of the store at the corner is Tiny Vinyl Shop, and it’s address is 2501 Champlain ST NW, Washington, DC 20009.
For larger vehicles that require a taller clearance (more than 6’0”), we recommend Tivoli Square 1345 Park Road NW, Washington 20010 which had a 7’11” height light when we last checked with them. (Link)

Street Parking nearby
We do not recommend - in fact we strongly advise against - trying to park on the street. This is a dense city neighborhood where demand for street parking is quite high and usually it is difficult to find a spot.
Street cleaning requires moving most cars twice a week during the street sweeping times as well.
Most paid parking spaces have a two hour limit, and even if you keep [paying past two hours, a traffic ticket agent can issue a ticket if the vehicle has been in a two hour space longer than two hours even if a meter was paid.
