By making a reservation at the property known as Champlain Street Stays (the “Hotel”), you agree to the following terms, conditions, and ‘house rules’ below:

By make a reservation, you authorize Champlain Street Stays to send 4-8 text messages/emails with details regarding your reservation information and other offers. Message/data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out.

Check In Requirements

BEFORE ARRIVAL: Because this is a boutique property there is online-check-in only, and there is no in-person reception desk. Before arrival, all guests should have completed a digital check-in process including ID verification for each guest on the reservation.

IDENTIFICATION VERIFICATION BEFORE ARRIVAL: The pre-arrival online identification process requires a valid photo ID as well as a real-time photo in order to verify the identification. This process is completed on your own digitally using a smartphone or computer. Completing this process is required to check in together and stay at the property.

It is recommended to do this identification prior to arrival so that you can seamlessly arrive and enter the apartment. The ID process is digital and handled by a third-party software provider. After making a reservation, the Hotel will message you and you can begin the verification process anytime.

The ID used for the ID verification process must be valid, not expired or nor damaged. The ID card must be physically present when doing the verification process. Non-governmental ID or ID without a photo of the ID holder are not accepted. Residency cards, student IDs, and digital photos of IDs are not accepted.

VALID CREDIT CARD ON FILE FOR INCIDENTALS

Guests must provide a valid credit card on file for their reservation that is issued under their name. In the event of any damages, lost or stolen items or any hiccups; a valid card must be on file in the event of assessed clean up or other fees.

GUESTS UNDER 18 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT OR GUARDIAN

We do not accept cash for reservations.

Other Terms & Conditions

SERIVCES: Internet, TV, and other services are provided for guest convenience but may experience occasional outages. Air conditioning, heating, and hot water are provided and the host will make reasonable efforts to fix and maintenance problem with those services should a problem arise.

CAMERAS: Security cameras in common and public areas: The building is equipped with security cameras in the hallways, entrance, and outdoor which record. These cameras are un-monitored.

EMERGENCIES: In the event of any emergency, please call 911 first. If you are outside the area but need to call 911 for Washington DC police, dial the police main command center directly at: 202-727-9099

PARKING: There are two public parking garages in the area, each is a walk from the property location. Look up the garages by searching for "Colonial Parking garage in Adams Morgan" online, or for more detailed info view the ‘Parking’ page on this website.

Street parking is quite difficult in the area, and spots are on a first-come first-serve basis with rules that vary block by block and even on different sides of the same street. Most street parking has a 2 hour maximum limit and/or restrictions on needing proof of local residency to park for longer. We do not recommend trying to park on the street.

About Reservation Modification and Cancellations:

Deposits & Modification/Cancellation

When making a reservation, the specific requirements for deposit and modifications for that reservation will be shown at or prior to the time of booking and will be included in your reservation confirmation email.

Please refer to your reservation confirmation for the exact deposit and modification or cancellation policy for that reservation.

Force Majeure: The Hotel shall not be responsible or liable for any failure or delay in performance of its obligations under this Agreement arising out of, or caused by, directly or indirectly, forces beyond its control, including, without limitation, strikes, work stoppages, accidents, acts of war or terrorism, civil or military disturbances, nuclear or natural catastrophes or acts of God, and interruptions, loss or malfunctions of utilities, communications or computer (software and hardware) services. It is the responsibility of the guest to ensure they have appropriate travel insurance from a third-party to cover any such events.

House Rules

CHECK OUT: Check out is at 11:00am or before. Avoid a late $50 fee by checking out on time. Failure to checkout by the check out time $50 late fee for the first 30 minutes, with an additional $50 fee for each additional 30 minute period or any portion of 30 minute period thereafter.

QUIET HOURS: 10 PM - 8 AM. Reception reserves the right to move quiet hours earlier if need be.

VISITORS: No visitors in the property or in your apartment. If you need to add guests to your reservation, please message us to do so. For your protection and security, we only allow registered guests on the premises. Occupancy of the apartment by more people than allowed on the reservation is prohibited.

NO PARTIES: Parties and gatherings are not allowed. The property is intended to be a peaceful and quiet refuge for all guests. Occupancy of the apartment at any time by more than the number of people allowed on the reservation is prohibited.

NO SMOKING, NO DRUGS: No smoking or vaping or drug use of any sort indoors. Any smoking, vaping or drug use inside the apartment or building will result in a $500 deep cleaning fee.

MAXIMUM LENGTH OF STAY: You are able to stay for up to 29 nights in a 365 day period.

NO CURFEW: We do not enforce any curfew, feel free to come and go as you please. Just keep quiet hours and other house rules in mind.

NO OUTSIDE LINENS / SLEEPING BAGS: Please do not bring any blankets, pillows, sleeping bags, etc. No outside bedding is allowed within guest rooms. We have everything you need!

ANIMALS AND PETS: We unfortunately do not allow for furry friends to stay at the property. Trained and certified service animals are the only exception to this rule.

No emotional support animal (ESA) or companion animals are allowed. ESA are not recognized as service animals under the ADA laws.

MANAGEMENT’S DISCRETION: For the good of all guests in the property, Management requires all guests to abide by the House Rules during their Stay. If a guest participates in disorderly behavior, is personally unsanitary and fails to clean up after being notified, or fails to comply with the above rules, the guest will be asked to leave at the guest's expense, and no refunded will be provided plus other costs to remedy a situation caused by the guest may be charged. Management also reserves the right to deny entry or refuse services to anyone.
